ABOUT US
Paws Perfect was founded in 2016 as a mobile grooming service, working out of a fully equipped van and driving to customers’ homes. Although we no longer offer this service, we still maintain many of our long-term clients.
In January 2021, Paws Perfect Salon was opened in the heart of the beautiful Cotswold village of Overbury. Here we offer a range of grooming services and pride ourselves on offering a calm, friendly and relaxed environment for your dog(s). Here at Paws Perfect we pride ourselves in offering a 1st class service with your pets welfare at the heart of everything we do.
Our salon is fully air conditioned, and we monitor the temperatures and humidity throughout your dog’s stay to ensure they are safe and comfortable.
All our groomers are trained in all aspects of grooming various breeds to pet or traditional standard. All our staff hold Canine First Aid certification and Paws Perfect is also a member of the Pet Industry Federation (PIF), which enables us to keep up to date with the latest news and information.

OWNER/MANAGER
LORNA
When I was at school, I always knew I wanted to work with animals. I was around horses from a young age, eventually being lucky enough to own my own from age 11. I went on to Study Equine at Hartpury College as a teenager.
I worked as a Teaching Assistant in a local secondary school during the time my daughter was at school. Throughout this time, as a family, we adopted several rescue dogs, and kept a cat, guinea pig, chickens and many more animals. Being around animals has always been my biggest love.
Once my daughter left home for university, I was desperate to work with animals, which is when I was lucky enough to be able to retrain as a Dog Groomer. I qualified with a Distinction in City and Guilds Level 3 Dog Grooming in 2016, shortly after, Paws Perfect was founded. I worked as a mobile groomer for 7 years until April 2023, where I now work full time at Paws Perfect Salon.
All through my adult life I've adopted a variety of rescues who have all had individual problems and currently we have a German Shepherd (Shelby) and a rescue mix (Bella, who you may see in the salon from time to time).

DOG GROOMER
SUMMER
I originally completed a university degree in Fine Art Sculpture, but since I was young, I knew animals had always been a great passion of mine. My career working with dogs began when I was given the opportunity to work as a Canine Hydrotherapist. Where I got to help rehabilitated dogs who were suffering from ongoing or past injuries and illnesses.
In 2019 I decided to change career being offered a role as a Grooming Assistant and was then subsequently trained in all aspects of dog grooming. I quickly realised that dog grooming was my passion!
In 2022 I completed my Dog Behavioural qualification with the International School of Canine Psychology (ISCP) and began volunteering with local rescues offering behavioural support. I've also fostered over 10 dogs.
I moved to Overbury from Kent and started working at Paws Perfect in March 2023.
Outside of Dog Grooming I have two of my own dogs, a Lakeland terrier and a three-legged collie mix (who you may see at the salon from time to time!)

DOG GROOMER
LARA
I started helping out at Paws Perfect in the Summer of 2021, doing volunteer work bathing, drying, brushing and trimming nails. I have now been working at the salon on Thursdays for 2 years and love meeting all the dogs and customers.
In December 2024 I completed my Level 2 Dog Grooming apprenticeship at Paws Perfect and am now a qualified Dog Groomer after achieving a distinction.
I also have a Level 3 Animal Management Diploma from Hartpury College.
In my spare time I love spending my time walking my 3 dogs , a beagle (Honey) , a dachshund (Slinky) and a toy poodle (Wanda) .

SALON DOG
BELLA
Bella is owned by salon owner Lorna and comes to visit often. She is brilliant with other dogs and we find her presence helps to calm our more nervous doggy clients.
Bella takes her self-appointed role of salon supervisor very seriously and keeps a careful eye on all visitors to the salon.
Despite her laid-back approach to life, Bella's beginnings were very turbulent. She was adopted by Lorna in 2017 after living her life in a hoarding situation where she lived with over 90 other dogs.
Now Bella loves nothing more than cuddling with Lorna, and her frequent houdini-esk trips to the neighbour’s garden.

SALON DOG
LOKI
Loki is owned by our Dog Groomer Summer and makes frequent visits to the salon (its possibly his favourite place to be!). In fact, the only two things Loki loves more than visiting the salon is meeting other dogs and people!
He is a gentle boy who is fantastic with dogs of any size, but he especially loves meeting and playing with all the young puppies who come for their first grooms.
Like Bella, Loki's life had a difficult start. He was abandoned in 2019 after being tied to a fence post. When he arrived at the rescue he was in a sorry state, he had a deformed front leg which had been broken in several places and needed removal.
Despite this he has an infectious positive outlook on the world and loves everyone and everything he meets!
