Welcome to our first Paws Perfect update of the year! Last year was a very busy one for us here at Paws Perfect with Lara completing her apprenticeship and our first annual Wash-a-thon! We have a few more updates to bring you from the end of last year before we start a fresh. So grab a cup of something warm and enjoy!
APPRENTICESHIP UPDATE:
We would like to begin our first Paws Post of the year by giving a huge congratulations to our apprentice Lara. She has now officially completed her apprenticeship and is a fully fledged Dog Groomer!
Lara passed her course with a distinction and we ceremonially removed the learner plate from her table earlier this month!
Lara has already started taking bookings for the New Year, so please get in contact to get booked in!
Our Christmas Outing!
In December, for our annual Paws Perfect Christmas party, we took to Cheltenham to Mulligans for a round of crazy golf. Unfortunately, us girls did not prove to be golfing geniuses and the round was won by Lara and Lorna's other halves.
We then had a lovely meal courtesy of Beefy Boys in Cheltenham, where we had some delicious burgers and a little tipple for the night. This was then followed by a very windy drive home courtesy of the storm!
OUR DOG HAIR RECYCLING SCHEME
During 2024 we started a recycling scheme to help do our bit for the planet. Typically the hair cut from your dogs ends up going to landfill (and that's a lot of dog hair!), therefore contributing to horrible things like global warming. So, during 2024 we decided we wanted to look for alternative methods of disposing of all that hair! We came across Green Groomers Collective, a scheme which aims to recycling your dogs hair into lots of useful things, like building insulation, use for oil spill clean ups and composting.
This came at a cost, to send off and process the hair, so we asked all our customers to donate an extra £1 per dog, per groom in order to help us do our bit! So with your help last year, we were able to recycle around 18kg of hair (around 7-8 black bags worth), saving it from landfill!

Our 2025 calendar is officially open and already booking up fast! Got a specific day/time you prefer? Many of our clients prefer to book up for the year to ensure they have all their dates in. We only ask for 48 hours notice when changing/cancelling an appointment (in case you wanted to book that last minute holiday).
